• What: Multilanguage support - the ability to switch Safety UI to be displayed in the following languages:
  • English
  • Spanish
  • French
  • Mandarin/Simple Chinese
    Additional languages will be added in the future.

Key changes

Switching Safety UI Language for the Logged-in User

When the logged-in user clicks the "User" icon in the top right corner of the Safety web app, they can now see a new "Language" option.

The option opens the "Change Language" dialog where the user can select from a number of available languages.

Once the user selects their preferred language and clicks Update, the UI will be switched to the selected language. This language will also be saved into the logged-in user authorisation record so that next time they log in, the UI opens in the same language.

Saving Individual User's Preferred Safety UI Language

In the user's authorisation record (Settings > Users > User Authorisation), there is a new "Language" field where the user's preferred language can be selected. Next time this user logs in, the UI will open for them in the selected language.

If the logged-in user is updating their own user authorisation records and changes the Language, the change will be applied immediately as soon as they click the Save User button.
