OVERVIEW
The Performance Indicators group of Dashboards provide a graphical snapshot and analysis of the number and nature of injuries, illnesses, incidents and near misses occurring across your Organisation, using data from the Events Register.
PRE-REQUISITES
- Ensure you've learned the fundamentals of using Damstra Safety via our 'Damstra Safety Essentials' guide (click here).
Although the Performance Indicators Dashboards require no manual setup, meaningful data can be obtained when:
- KPI Hours are entered via Settings > General > KPI Hours
- KPI Formula Multiplier is set via Settings > General > Options and Preferences > KPI Formula Multiplier (default multiplier is 1,000,000).
- Company-level KPI Targets (if applicable) are set via Settings > General > Options and Preferences > Company KPI Targets
- Site-level KPI Targets (if applicable) are set via Settings > General > Organisation Structure > Site
- Financial Year Start is set via Settings > General > Options and Preferences > Financial Year Start
- Events (Injury, Illness, Incident, Near Miss) are being recorded and managed
- Risks are being recorded and managed
- Corrective Actions are being managed

CALCULATIONS
INJURY/ILLNESS ANALYSIS - INDICATORS TAB - FREQUENCY RATES:
• All Injury Frequency Rate (AIFR)
= total number of Injuries/Illnesses (First Aid/Medical/Lost Time) * KPI factor (default 1,000,000) / number of hours worked
• Lost Time Injury Rate (LTIFR)
= number of Lost Time Injuries(LTI) * KPI factor (default 1,000,000) / number of hours worked
INJURY/ILLNESS ANALYSIS - TRENDS TAB
• First Aid Treatment Injuries (FTI)
= number of First Aid Treatment Injuries
• First Aid Treatment Injury Rate(FTIF)
= number of First Aid Treatment Injuries * KPI factor (default 1,000,000) / number of hours worked
• Medical Treatment Injuries(MTI)
= number of Medical Treatment Injuries (incl. Hospitalisation)
• Medical Treatment Injury Rate(MTIF)
= number of Medical Treatment Injuries (incl. Hospitalisation) * KPI factor (default 1,000,000) / number of hours worked
• Lost Time Injuries(LTI)
= number of Lost Time Injuries(LTI)
• Lost Time Injury Rate (LTIF)
= number of Lost Time Injuries(LTI) * KPI factor (default 1,000,000) / number of hours worked
• Non Lost Time Injuries(NLTI)
= All injury types (excluding Fatality and Lost Time injuries)
• Non Lost Time Injury Rate(NLTIF)
= All injury types (excluding Fatality and Lost Time injuries) * KPI factor (default 1,000,000) / number of hours worked
• Total Recordable Injuries(TRI)
= Fatalities + Lost Time Injuries + Restricted Duties + Medical Treatment Injuries(incl. Hospitalisation)
• Total Recordable Injury Rate(TRIF)
= Fatalities + Lost Time Injuries + Restricted Duties + Medical Treatment Injuries(incl. Hospitalisation) * KPI factor (default 1,000,000) / number of hours worked
• Fatality Frequency Rate(FFR)
= number of fatalities * KPI factor (default 1,000,000) / number of hours worked
• Average Lost Time Rate
= Number of Days Lost by month for Lost Time injuries
INCIDENT/NEAR MISS ANALYSIS - INDICATORS TAB - FREQUENCY RATES:
• Total Incident Frequency Rate(TIFR)
= total number of Incidents and Near Misses * KPI factor (default 1,000,000) / number of hours worked
• Incident Frequency Rate(IFR)
= total number of Incidents (excluding Near Misses) * KPI factor (default 1,000,000) / number of hours worked
INCIDENT/NEAR MISS ANALYSIS - TRENDS TAB:
• Non Serious Harm Incidents
= number of incidents of type "Incident or Near Miss" not rated Serious Harm (Dangerous Occurrence)
• Non Serious Harm Incidents Rate
= number of incidents of type "Incident or Near Miss" not rated Serious Harm (Dangerous Occurrence)
• Serious Harm Incidents
= number of incidents of type "Incident or Near Miss" rated Serious Harm (Dangerous Occurrence)
• Serious Harm Incidents Rate
= number of incidents of type "Incident or Near Miss" rated Serious Harm (Dangerous Occurrence)
INCIDENT/NEAR MISS ANALYSIS - SEVERITY TAB:
• Level 1 Incidents
= number of incidents of type "Incident or Near Miss" with severity level 1
• Level 1 Incident Rate
= number of incidents of type "Incident or Near Miss" with severity level 1 * KPI factor (default 1,000,000) / number of hours worked
• Level 2 Incidents
= number of incidents of type "Incident or Near Miss" with severity level 2
• Level 2 Incident Rate
= number of incidents of type "Incident or Near Miss" with severity level 2 * KPI factor (default 1,000,000) / number of hours worked
• Level 3 Incidents
= number of incidents of type "Incident or Near Miss" with severity level 3
• Level 3 Incident Rate
= number of incidents of type "Incident or Near Miss" with severity level 3 * KPI factor (default 1,000,000) / number of hours worked
