Getting Started - Solo for Samsung Watch

Overview

Solo is a Protection, Productivity and Performance product. Solo is made up of three parts:

• Solo Platform.
• Solo Mobile.
• Solo Wearable.

Solo Wearable requires a series of initial setup steps to be completed prior to being fully operational.

The procedure for setting up the Solo Wearable app varies depending on the combination of watch and smartphone you're using. Click the following links to view a video of the procedure for your devices:

General Procedure Overview

Important note: Prior to actioning the following steps, ensure that you have the Solo Mobile app installed and logged-in on your phone.

1. Download Galaxy Wearable Mobile app - From the relevant store for your device:
   
   
   • For IOS download the 'Samsung Galaxy Watch (Gear S)' app, click here to download from the App Store
     
     Note: For IOS devices 'Always Allow' location services to be accessed.
     
     
   • For Android download the 'Galaxy Wearable (Samsung Gear)' app, click here to download from the Google Play Store  
     
     Note: For Android devices, you will be prompted to download other plugins e.g. Samsung Accessory Service or Galaxy Watch plugin.
     
     
     
2. Pair wearable with mobile - Use the Galaxy Wearable/Samsung Galaxy app on your mobile phone to pair the wearable to your mobile phone.
   
   Note: For IOS devices, ensure that both Samsung BT connections have been established.
   • The "LE" connection.
   • The "Non LE" connection.
     Without both of these connections the Solo wearable emergency calling function will not work.
     To check go to: Settings > Bluetooth.
     
     
     
3. Download Solo app - Use the Galaxy Wearable app on your mobile phone to search for and download the Solo app to the watch.
   Tap 'Settings' then 'Galaxy apps' and search.
   
   Note: If you don't have a Samsung account you will be asked to create one - please follow the prompts.
   
   
4. Download Solo Watch Face - Use the Galaxy Wearable app on your mobile phone to search for and download a Solo watch face of your choice. The Solo watch face allows for quick "from the face" access to all Solo wearable functionality in all situations.
   
5. Register Solo Watch - Setup Wearable version of the Solo app - this process sync's the users access profile from the mobile phone app. - See Register Watch.
