Adding a Reference Line to a Chart

The following example will take you through how to add a static reference line to a BI column or bar chart. 

NB: This cannot be added to an Auto Chart. 

1. Once a chart has been created, navigate to the Axis settings from the top menu;

2. Click the Vertical Axis;

3. Open the Scale menu.
Add a Value where the line will sit on the chart, change the colour of the line and add a label to be displayed. ie 'Target', 'Industry Average';

NB: If you would like to add more lines, click + Add Item to add additional reference lines. 

4. Close the menu and your chart will update with the reference line.
